The LOF Adaptive E-Collar is designed to replace the original strap included in Dogtra® and other electronic training systems that accept standard 1-inch webbing. Once the Adaptive E-Collar has been properly adjusted to your dog, the COBRA® buckle allows it to be put on and removed without repeatedly re-threading the webbing. The collar retains the set adjustment between uses, helping provide a faster and more consistent setup. As with any electronic training collar, positioning and fit should still be checked each time it is placed on the dog.

AustriAlpin™ COBRA® Buckle

The Adaptive E-Collar is equipped with an adjustable 1-inch AustriAlpin™ COBRA® buckle. The buckle provides fast two-sided operation while helping prevent unintended release from pressure against only one release clip. Its low-profile configuration keeps the collar streamlined while giving handlers a dependable and easy-to-operate connection.

Most importantly, the buckle allows the collar’s size adjustment to remain set between uses. This gives the handler a repeatable fit without having to reposition the webbing every time the collar is placed on the dog.

Integrated Emergency Lead Attachment

The Adaptive E-Collar includes an integrated metal D-ring that provides handlers with a temporary lead attachment point when a dog must be quickly relocated from one location to another. This feature is intended for short-distance, emergency movement only. It can provide a convenient attachment point when transitioning the dog between a vehicle, training area, kennel, staging location or another nearby controlled environment and a standard collar or harness is not immediately accessible.

Important D-Ring Safety Notice

The Adaptive E-Collar must not be used as a standard walking collar, restraint collar or correction collar.

Electronic training receivers use metal contact points that rest against the dog’s neck. Pulling, restraining or delivering leash corrections through the integrated D-ring WILL transfer pressure from the lead into those contact points.

Do not use the D-ring for:

Routine walking or extended lead handling

Maintaining control of a dog that pulls

Tethering or tying out the dog

Leash corrections

Agitation, bite work or other high-load applications

Replacing a properly fitted working collar or harness

For routine lead handling, control and restraint, always attach the lead to an appropriate K9 collar or harness such as our K9 Sentry Pro Dog Collar or our K9 StreetFighter Harness.

The integrated D-ring should only be used for brief, controlled relocation when necessary. It is an emergency convenience feature—not the primary load-bearing function of the Adaptive E-Collar.

Compatibility Notice

Before ordering, confirm that your electronic training unit accepts 1-inch-wide webbing.

The Adaptive E-Collar is not compatible with Garmin® or Tritronics® receiver units designed for ¾-inch or 0.75-inch straps.

Dogtra® receiver and handheld transmitter are not included. The LOF Adaptive E-Collar is a replacement collar strap designed for compatible e-collar systems that accept 1-inch webbing.

How to Measure Your Dog

Correct measurement is important because electronic training collars are normally positioned higher on the dog’s neck than a conventional identification or walking collar.

Measure around the upper portion of your dog’s neck, close to the top of the neck and directly below the jawline. Take the measurement where the electronic receiver will normally sit during use.

Keep the measuring tape comfortably snug against the dog’s neck. Do not pull it excessively tight, but do not leave additional slack or insert fingers beneath the tape.

Enter the exact measurement shown on the tape. Do not add extra length for the receiver unit—the sizing of the Adaptive E-Collar accounts for the space occupied by the electronic training unit.

For the most accurate result:

Have the dog standing naturally.

Measure high on the neck, below the jawline.

Keep the tape flat and snug.

Record the measurement in inches.

Enter the exact measurement when ordering.

Do not measure using the position of your dog’s everyday walking collar, as it will typically sit lower and may produce an inaccurate measurement.
